1. Who we are

2. Scope

These terms apply to every use of ROOM (the "Service"), whether through the website, the web app or a connected mobile application. By creating an account or taking out a subscription, you accept these terms.

3. The Service

ROOM helps households map the mental load of running a home and share it more fairly. The Service is provided "as is"; we aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

4. Account

To use ROOM you create a personal account. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account.

5. Subscription and prices

ROOM is offered as a paid subscription:

• €12.99 per month, or
• €99.99 per year (with a launch price of €79.99 for the first year, valid for orders placed within the first week after the launch of ROOM).

Prices include any taxes due. We reserve the right to change prices; existing subscribers will be informed at least 30 days in advance.

6. Payment and direct debit

Payments are handled by our payment partner Mollie. By starting your subscription you authorise an automatic mandate: on renewal, your subscription fee is automatically charged to the payment method used for the first payment, until you cancel.

7. Duration, renewal and cancellation

The subscription renews automatically for the same period (month or year) unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time through the clear "Cancel subscription" button in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect immediately and is confirmed with one click; you keep access until the end of the current, already paid period, after which the subscription is not renewed.

8. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for a service purchased at a distance. For digital services you start using immediately after purchase, this right lapses once you have expressly agreed to immediate performance and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.

9. Liability

ROOM is a tool to reflect together on how household tasks and mental load are shared. We are not liable for decisions users make based on the app, nor for relational outcomes. In any case, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months, except in the event of intent or gross negligence.

10. Intellectual property

All rights to ROOM (name, logo, content, source code) remain the property of Hectors-Clerx BV.

11. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms. In case of a significant change we will inform you by email or in the app, at least 30 days in advance.

12. Applicable law

Belgian law applies to these terms. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court of Leuven.
